- Pursuing Inclusive Spirituality – We value the inclusive spiritual journey. We welcome people of all faiths and no faith. All people are encouraged to craft their individual spiritual journey in a safe, supportive community.
- Pursuing Activism – We seek to be the change we wish to see in the world. Liberation begins as an inner freedom that inspires liberation in others. We value community collaborations and global partnerships, ensuring that life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are honored for ALL.
- Pursuing Sustainability – We seek a future in harmony with the earth. We value the earth as “God’s Body.” We are part of the earth and therefore our fate and the earth’s fate are entwined. We seek to live in tune with nature’s patterns, educate ourselves about earth’s resources and seek a future where we live in harmony with the earth.
- Pursuing Wellness – We value holistic health as an expression of “spiritual” or integral well-being. We see nutrition, emotional health, yoga, relationships and spiritual practice such as prayer and meditation as being core components of health.
- Celebrating Gender – We value gender complementarities. Gender difference is an expression of the diversity that is built into nature. We follow in a long tradition of celebrating “Goddess” as the creative impulse, and “Gaia” as the feminine energy of flow and interrelatedness. In practical terms, we intentionally honor women’s journeys as well as men’s journeys; we value story telling and group dynamics, yin and yang compassion, active and receptive modes of community.
- Celebrating Sexuality – Sexuality is an expression of our humanity, and all sexuality is to be affirmed. We are an open and affirming community. We value the “coming out” journey of all people and seek to create a safe environment to support each other in this process.
- Celebrating Inquiry – As life evolves, so do beliefs and values. We follow no particular doctrine or orthodoxy. We encourage independent thinking. We celebrate all minds and all disciplines, the interplay of religion and science, sociology and spirituality, psychology and religious tradition. Together, we explore tangible, daily life issues such as work, ethics, relationships and health with searching questions and open curiosity.
- Celebrating Creativity – We value the arts, as creative expression of the deepest human yearnings. We honor the mystery of Life, and the manifestation of this mystery includes and transcends words, in diverse artistic expression.
- Celebrating Interspirituality – We celebrate universal truths. We celebrate diversity of religious and wisdom perspective. Our community is made up of people identifying as Christian, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, humanist and no particular identification. While our primary language and story are referenced from Christianity, we celebrate the universal truths that come through all traditions. We value interfaith dialogue as a movement for a more peaceful world.
- Celebrating Community – We value community where compassion and interrelatedness are expressions of the unity of life. Participation at C3Exchange isn’t so much about beliefs and rituals as it is about learning to be human together. We value our local community, the global community of which we are a part, and the web of life that sustains us and depends on our care.
