Kim Bazzy – C3 Exchange Youth Program Director | emailIn 2006, Kim stepped into the children’s program at C3 Exchange to facilitate the process of creating and implementing a unique new curriculum (Rivers To The Ocean) based on the 10 core values of the church. Over the next year, Kim headed up the committee that created the curriculum, and in 2007 worked with a dedicated group of teachers, parents, and other adults to create a new C3 Exchange children’s program based on the Rivers To The Ocean curriculum. Kim loves her work with the youth and children of the C3 community, and is constantly refreshed and delighted with the high level of engagement from the children, youth, teachers, and parents involved in the program. Kim has a BS in psychology, and has worked with various education- and literacy-based programs. She continues her work and education in the area of human growth and potential. Marsha Mason Children’s Program Director & Karen Ryan | emailMarsha lived most of her life in Houston, Texas. Eighteen years in public schools and a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction serves as a foundation for her work with the children of C3Excahange. In December of 2001, Marsha moved to Grand Rapids, MI as a Consultant training educators to assist struggling students. Karen Ryan was born and raised in Grand Rapids and received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology with a minor in Psychology from Grand Valley. Being a child care provider for over thirty years provided her the experience for interacting with children and creating curriculum. In 2001, Karen became Youth Ministry Director at Unity Church of Practical Christianity in Grand Rapids. Both Marsha and Karen have experience organizing programs, training teachers and creating a variety of curriculum. Attending retreats for middle and high school students in the Great Lakes area expanded their understanding of how to address the needs of the entire person. C3 Exchange became Marsha and Karen’s spiritual home in February 2008. They shared their In the Garden – Nurturing Your True Nature curriculum with children of all ages that summer. In the fall of 2008, Marsha and Karen helped launch Rivers to the Ocean curriculum. During the summer of 2009, they shared their The Current of Our Lives- Making our Waves in the World with C3Kids. In August 2009, Marsha and Karen became Children’s Program Director and Assistant. They continue to work in the classrooms and enhance Rivers to the Ocean curriculum implemented in 2008. During the summer of 2010, Marsha and Karen will offer another summer program, Expressing Your Passion – the Fire Within. They look forward to publishing and sharing curriculum with other teachers and parents. |
